Tenancy Fees

Holding Deposit fee is non-refundable. If applicants provide false or misleading information, fail a right to rent check, withdraw from a property and/or fail to take all reasonable steps to enter into a tenancy agreement within the deadline for agreement, the booking will be cancelled, and the holding deposit will not be refunded. The deadline of agreement is 14 calendar days from the date of this holding deposit or 48 hours before the move-in date, whichever is earlier. If AW or the Landlord declines the offer, the holding deposit fee will be refunded to the applicant's bank account.

Default fee of interest on late rent if rent is more than 14 days overdue is 3% above Bank of England base rate.

Contract variation, novation, amendment or change of occupant at the tenant’s request within an existing tenancy is subject to a fee of £50.

The cost incurred in case of any change of property/room is subject to and to a fee of £190.

The cost of cleaning the Property or the Contents during the tenancy in case the property has been found excessively dirty and/or in unhealthy conditions is subject to a fee of minimum of £35.

Exceeding the maximum number of occupiers will incur in a cost of £10 per day and extra compensation to the other sharer for any overuse accumulated.

The cost to copy any keys and/or fob apply as follows: £25 for generic key. £35 or higher (depending on key costs) for special key. £50 for fob key.

The costs to recover keys in any different location than the one stated in the tenancy agreement £50.

The fee for late payment of energy overuse charges is of £5.00 per day after notification.

The early termination fee for surrender of agreement is of 12% of the rent for the remainder of the tenancy with Apartment Wharf support in finding a replacement, or of £190 without Apartment Wharf support in finding a replacement, as cost of reletting the property. It represents the reasonable costs for advertising, referencing and other marketing costs incurred by AW/landlord in order to re-let the room.

Payment fees: Cash payments fee of +1.5%. Face 2 face payment fee of £30. AW is not responsible for any charges due to international transfers. Therefore, if this may occur the occupier is the only responsible for it.
